Join Us
We are looking for new colleagues to join our team, including graduate students, post-doctoral fellows and a research assistant/technician.
We aim to build an interdisciplinary and collaborative lab, where biologists, engineers and physical scientists work together, benefit from each other's insight and learn from each other. All towards the goal of understanding the 3D genome in time and space, nuclear organization and the regulation of gene expression (see Research). And we develop new approaches to follow these processes from 'birth-to-death' with single-molecule resolution inside living cells (see Tools).
Our approach is interdisciplinary and includes biophysics, molecular biology, biochemistry, bioengineering, and computational approaches. We have openings for people purely interested in applying existing methods to address important biological questions, people purely interested in developing new methods, and people interested in combining the two. Accordingly, our lab is open to candidates from a range of backgrounds including the biological sciences, the physical sciences, and engineering.

Post-doctoral fellows
We are actively looking for post-docs. Please email Anders with a brief description of your research interests, background and future career goals. Please also include your CV and contact information for at least three references (or arrange for your references to email their letters to Anders directly).
Graduate students
Our primary affiliation is with the MIT BE graduate program, but any graduate student in a MIT graduate program can join or rotate in the lab. The first step is to set up a time to chat. Please email Anders and let's arrange a time to meet.
Research Assistant / Research Technician
Please email Anders directly if interested.
