Socially distant lab outing

After months of virtual get-togethers, the Hansen lab gathered for a socially distant summer outing on the banks of the Charles. With stomachs full of Thai food, we spent the warm Boston evening chatting and trying to find the "spies" in the game of Resistance. With our first outing since March a resounding success, the Hansen lab is ready to take on the Fall semester!

2 new review papers from the lab

We contributed to two new review papers.

In one we reviewed new chromatin technologies that are shining a new light on how chromatin and chromosomes work inside of cells. Find Advances in Chromatin and Chromosome Research: Perspectives from Multiple Fields in Molecular Cell.

In the other, we review how CTCF and cohesin might interact and how this may regulate chromatin looping in cells. Find CTCF as a boundary factor for cohesin-mediated loop extrusion: evidence for a multi-step mechanism in Nucleus.
